Drones are now very affordable, and they are being used in an array of sectors, including work such as product delivery, videography, and photography. You will find many drones that handle enterprise-level work efficiently without any hassle. Talking about affordable drones, the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise Series drones are among the best in the current market.
They have two different lineups of drones available in two different models; such as –
- Mavic 3 Enterprise (M3E)
- Mavic 3 Thermal (M3T).
Aside from being affordable, these drones also pack some of the best features. If you want to aim for aerial photography and videography, then you need a great drone. I think it would be worth checking out different DJI drones.
DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise SeriesÂ
This series has two different models that come with some similar features. Both the M3T and M3E offer operational efficiency, ease of use, and portability. The M3T and the M3E differ from each other in different aspects, such as – thermal capabilities, which the M3E lacks, is present in the M3T. But the mechanical shutter present in the M3E will be much more helpful if you are working on any surveys or mapping.
You can say that these gadgets are meant for different users. The M3E will help you if you are working during the day and taking surveys or mapping out places. But if your work is related to emergency response, search-and-rescue, and nighttime inspection, then the M3T is a better-suited device.
Here, I have reviewed some of the best drones by DJI. Starting with M3T drones.
DJI M3T
DJI M3T offers a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 56x Hybrid zoom 12 MP camera, and a thermal one. Each of these cameras has a different purpose. All three of the cameras serve different purposes. The wide-angle camera is for mapping and taking surveys. It works great when it comes to completing different missions, such as 3D mapping, roof inspection, and facade inspection.
When flying an inspection mission, the Zoom camera works as a good secondary camera. But if you are flying an automated mission, it is better to let the mission run the course instead of using the telephoto camera during the mission.
The thermal camera of the DJI M3T is great for emergency rescue missions and for surveillance purposes. The thermal camera also helps identify heat leaks and thermal ingress. Clearly, the M3T has different benefits and will be helpful if you require one for the different purposes mentioned here.
DJI M3E
Another great drone from the DJI M3E. It is known for its impressive imaging capability. The drone is equipped with a great wide-angle camera and 20 effective MP sensors, and a 4/3-inch CMOS. That camera also prevents motion blur and has shorter shooting intervals ( of 0.7 seconds). Indeed there is no thermal camera, but the low light camera coupled with the wide angle camera of this drone might shock you.
The M3E has an air time of 45 minutes and a hover time of 39 minutes in the air. It is equipped with a 5000 mAh LiPo battery that takes around 70 minutes to charge to 100 percent from zero. Both the M3T and the M3E have a collision avoidance system helping you to avoid any collision that might occur during a flight.
DJI Air 2S
The DJI Air 2s is another great drone camera from DJI. It is packed with a great battery that takes you on a long flight and helps you record 5.4 K videos. It is always better to opt for the Fly More Combo because it comes with three rechargeable batteries. The Air 2s have the capability to avoid obstacles from the front, behind, and below.
This drone does not flinch against any moderate wind and is capable of avoiding any obstacle ahead. You can also benefit from ActiveTrack, a smart flight mode that comes with other DJI drones. This feature allows the drone to autonomously film any object during its movement. It offers you a 31-minute long battery life.
DJI Mavic 3
The Mavic 3 has many o the best features of the Air2S, and it also packs a great 4/3 image sensor; it also has a great camera capable of taking 20-megapixel photos and 5.4K video recording. The best feature of this drone is its battery life of 46 minutes. It surpasses any drone’s battery life we have ever seen.
If you are thinking of taking high quality photos with a drone camera and need a long flight for a longer videography session, then this is the drone camera you need to get.
DJI Mini 2
If you want to go for a less expensive model for personal usage, taking photos and videos for social media, then the DJI Mini 2 is worth checking out. The 31-minute-long battery life and the 4K video recording feature of this drone camera is pretty good for a pocket-friendly budget. In terms of battery life, this drone does seem pretty reliable in comparison to the more expensive models. But the video quality of this drone is not great enough compared to the other models with the same battery life.
This camera still has a feature worthy of any good drone camera. The features of image stabilization and flight stabilization and has a controller included. It also includes the smart flight mode.
DJI Drone Alternative
The human rights and security concerns of the DJI drone might concern you and as a result, you might want to avoid the DJI drones. Many people also look for 6K cameras ( not available in DJI drones).
In that case, you can opt for different alternatives. Autel Robotics Evo Lite+ is a great recommendation if you want to opt for a long flight. There are other options as well –
- Hubsan Zino Mini pro
- Potensic A20
- Parrot Anafi
- SJRC F11 4k Pro
- Ryze Tello
- Emax Tinyhawk 2
